Pre NaNoWrimo 2017

With 11 days left until crazy month begins I thought I'd write a little here. As I usually do.

I will, as I have the last three years, be a part of NaNoWriMo and thus try writing a novel and reach 50 000 words. This year however I'm more unsure if I will be able to pull it off because 25th of November I'm moving to a new apartment. Maybe not the best plan but hey, we'll see how it goes.

So, this year my personal goal will be to reach 25k. I would of course want to win since I'm in a winning streak so I will fight all I got to get those 50k despite moving.

Plan is to write 2k a day until at least 20th, which is 40k words. Then I just need 10k more, which I should pull off if I write a minimum of 1k a day, though at least two days I need write 2k since I probably will not write anything on the 25th and 26th. So, in general it can be pulled off. If only I actually can sit down 1h x2 a day up until the 20th.

To make it extra fun this year I'm having plot holes as large as cities. The main three:
1. Why do they go to the unknown and not Mars?
2. How do they get into the ship and then into space?
3. How is the spaceship designed inside?

Ok, to be fair, number 3 is basically just a world building problem-ish since I just don't know how to cram 40k people into a tin can in space and how each deck and section should be laid out.

If you haven't realised by now, I'm writing a space story ;) It's going to be in letter form and from the point of view of a 14 year old girl who goes with her mum and leaves behind her other loved ones on earth that is uninhabitable. She writes to the people she left behind about her new life on the spaceship.

Another problem is that I haven't grasped my main character fully. She eludes me. Usually I can pin point my characters pretty well but this time I can't, I don't know her as well as I want.

So, overall this is going to be an exciting november for many reasons. That and all the lovely distractions like Sims 4 pets coming out!
