You should give me a job

I'm starting to wonder if I need to move to a big capital to become something, to be able to chase my dreams? Do I need to move to London or NYC and live with the cockroaches and rats before I can even touch my dream? I'd move anywhere if it meant coming near my dream.

I want to organise, plan, arrange spectacular events, concerts, maybe even weddings but definitely festivals. I love the minute before you open, before you know if it's a success, I love to think outside the box, I love to solve problems and evolve ideas. I'm like a fish in water when I get to do all of those things but I'm afraid I will never reach it, that I will never be a core staff of a regular event or festival. I'm afraid no one will give me a chance.

I'm afraid I will live here and dream big but never reach it just because I don't know in which door I should jam my foot in. If I had a degree in medicine, law, architecture etc. I would know where to look. Culture is a vast place where it's hard to get in. If you're in you have more job opportunities than you can take but you take them all anyway and if you're like me, the Matchstick girl, you always look in and write down your spectacular ideas and you collect party planning tips and trix och pinterest but you get nowhere.

I want to be able to wake up in the morning with a smile because I know I have to work today, I want to sit in meetings with creative people who come up with insane ideas and make them come true, I want to make magic every day. I want to bring forth other strugglers: artists, musicians, dancers, youths with ideas that can become projects and dreams. I want to make the whole world a better place if only someone would give me the chance.

I want to make your dreams come true, I want to sweep you off your feet for some hours or maybe some days and leave memories you will come back to with a smile and glimmering eyes. I want to organise, plan, create - make the air around me vibrate.

Do you know someone who would like to hire me?
Give them my resume (.pdf)

  1. I know how this feels - it is always a creepy feeling that one might be overlooked or could miss a chance. I now live in Paris, not to land a job here, but to fulfill a dream while waiting for the opportunities to come along! In a year or two I'll chase them down if I have to, haha.
Ettersom du er svensk, så fortsår du kanskje om jeg skriver på norsk også? Ha en fin uke!

    1. Oh, how interesting! If you see this I'd love to know more about that and how you did when you moved and such (I'd love to live abroad - I just don't know where yet). My e-mail: info @ caja-art.se (without the space).

Ja, förstår perfekt! Ha det jättebra :)
