A glimmer of hope when it's dark

I was planning on doing some Etsy finds today, as usual, but that will have to wait. I've had a bad tooth ache the last couple of days and yesterday I learned that I need to do a root canal soon, but first penicillin for 10 days. The meds is wiping me out completely and I'm struggling to keep them down. At least the tooth isn't hurting as much today as the last ones. It's not a walk in the park I say.

Therefore I wanted to share with you a poem I stumbled over in a poetry book a week or so ago: Hope is the thing with feathers by Emily Dickinson.
Hope is the thing with feathers
That perches in the soul,
And sings the tune without the words,

And never stops at all,
And sweetest in the gale is heard;
And sore must be the storm
That could abash the little bird
That kept so many warm.

I've heard it in the chillest land,
And on the strangest sea;
Yet, never, in extremity,
It asked a crumb of me.

    1. That makes me glad to hear :) If you haven't already you should print it and put it up somewhere! I've done that with Dalai Lamas life rules and I look at it once a day.
